- 400g plain flour
- 200g unsalted butter
- 200g caster sugar
- 1 egg
Cream the butter and sugar then beat in the egg.
Add the flour and mix until the dough comes together.
Wrap in film and chill for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out your cookies using cutters.
Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and bake for 14 mins at 170C until golden around the edges.
Cool on a wire rack before decorating.
