We know you may have many questions before your next workout, so we have provided some key information on what you can expect when we reopen our doors. This page will be updated as we evolve our safety measures in line with government guidelines.
You will be reassured to know that the team have received enhanced COVID-19 training to ensure a greater awareness of the precautions needed. In addition all managers have received COVID-19 updated first-aid training. All staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE and be temperature screened on arrival.
We have invested in new equipment to deliver enhanced protection anti-viral products. Our housekeeping team will follow new, safe cleaning and sanitation processes across all areas and they will be especially vigilant around areas that are commonly touched. In addition we have increased availability of disinfectant cleaning products, we politely ask that you help us and your fellow members by using these products to wipe down all equipment after use.
We are fortunate that our wonderful facilities are spaced over a wide area and we are confident that we will be able to accommodate you; but to help us manage social distancing we will be asking you to book your visits in advance. To minimise contact at reception, please book your Nirvana Fitness visit using our online booking system. (Please click here for booking instructions). Please note if you have already booked a Nirvana Spa visit and plan to use the Nirvana Fitness facilities you do not need to make a separate booking.
Our CRM system combined with our booking and check in / check out procedures will allow full track and trace capability should this be required by the authorities.
We have made changes to our reception areas to reduce contact where possible. if you are a full member please proceed on the right and swipe through the barriers, otherwise please queue on the left to check in at reception. We have installed perspex screens for protection in key areas through which our team will offer a friendly welcome. Please observe social distancing.
We have introduced a one way system through facilities and in corridors please keep right, we have placed tape and stickers to guide you.

Unfortunately the changing rooms will not be available, please arrive gym ready.
Throughout Nirvana Fitness, we have implemented a number of measures to provide a safe environment for your training. Cardio equipment has been spaced out to give you extra space to enjoy your workout and we have increased the availability of disinfectant cleaning products for you to wipe down all equipment before and after use.
Each zone within the gym will be subject to occupancy restrictions. Cardio equipment has been moved to ensure social distancing and we have increased the availability of disinfectant cleaning products so customers can wipe down all equipment before and after use. Fabric based equipment which cannot be wiped easily will be removed from use. Customers will be encouraged to use gloves when lifting weights.
A carefully selected timetable of small group classes will run and floor stickers will be applied to internal studios to facilitate social distancing.
Our pool disinfection systems benefit from world leading technology. Our UV disinfection system uses full spectrum UV light which means that in the normal course of business we maintain potable pool water. Our pool filtration turnover rates are extremely high, far exceeding industry standards. For your protection, we have increased the chlorine levels in the pool. We have set our bather loads significantly lower than recommended and removed lane ropes and non-essential items from pool areas including floats.
We kindly ask you to observe the new usage guidelines. Changing for the pool is only available poolside.
The crèche and the café will remain closed during the first phase of reopening.

We ask anyone who is concerned that they may be developing Covid-19 symptoms to follow the Government advice, and self-isolate in the first instance. If you have a new continuous cough, high temperature or any other symptoms associated with Coronavirus or have been advised to self-quarantine please do not visit the gym, your booking can be cancelled by emailing [email protected].
