Pilates for your body’s core
Pilates is designed to help movement in everyday life and protects from injuries which can occur during ordinary tasks like gardening or lifting. By combining strengthening and lengthening Pilates can help to re-align any muscular imbalances, improve balance, flexibility, posture and alleviate tension.
Pilates focuses on using both the mind and the body to achieve optimum performance. Deep stabilising muscles of the body are strengthened using sequences of movements that use gravity, body weight and specially designed equipment as forms of resistance.
During the Pilates course you will achieve a constant level of awareness of the way the body moves and discover the important connection between the mind and the body, using breathing to focus on the precision of movements.
