Reading Football Club have announced an innovative new partnership with Nirvana Health to maximise rehabilitation and recovery for players.
Nirvana Health is delighted to partner with our local professional football team, Reading FC, who are also our new neighbours in their training ground at Bearwood Park.
As part of the new partnership, Reading FC’s sports science staff and first team stars will have priority access to our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities, including hydrotherapy and balneotherapy pools as well as the highly-innovative Dead Sea Salt Therapy facility.
Reading Football Club players have already been using the pools for recovery after heavy training sessions and matches. The hydrotherapy has helped to speed up their recovery time which has proven particularly beneficial when matches fall close together.
Royals midfielder John Swift became the first squad member to use Nirvana Health’s rehabilitation facilities to aid his comeback from a recent groin injury. He has used the Dead Sea Salt Therapy Pool to regain and maintain fitness without bearing weight on his groin.
Royals first team manager, Mark Bowen, said; “The fixture schedule makes this division a long, gruelling battle for our first team footballers and recovery and rehabilitation is absolutely crucial to the players and this club’s success.”
“This partnership with Nirvana Health now offers us access to some of the most forward-thinking rehabilitation facilities in the country, helping our players to be in the best possible condition ahead of every match they play.”
Nirvana Health Founder, Sean Barley, added; “We’re delighted to be working with Reading Football Club and very proud to embark on this partnership together.
“Since we first discussed collaboration, it was clear that our Nirvana Health facilities would make an important impact in helping first team footballers recover and prepare their bodies for the physical challenge which is the Championship and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the future success of our local professional football club.”
As incredibly proud as we are to support professional athletes, at Nirvana Health we want as many people as possible to benefit from our state-of-the-art hydrotherapy facilities. Starting from just £15 per session for members, and £20 for non-members, our Dead Sea Salt Therapy pool is designed to help anyone suffering from sports injuries, painful joints, arthritis or reduced mobility, as well as those convalescing post-surgery.
