Afternoon tea at Nirvana Spa
“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”
Henry James
The terrace next to the glistening waters of our Nirvana pool makes the perfect setting to experience our relaxed afternoon tea. This spring, our Chef James is delighted to introduce a new, elegant and modern twist on this quintessential tradition.
The moment the elegant dark wood tea stand arrives, it is clear this is not just an array of sandwiches and exquisite pastries but also a feast for your eyes and your Instagram! “I wanted to create an afternoon tea which would be visually stunning, with each mouthful so enticing you won’t know where to begin!”
On the savoury tray, the finely cut sandwiches are bursting with fillings; we offer either traditional or vegetarian. Our rich, buttery and golden topped scones are served warm, ready to be smothered in velvety clotted cream and jam.
The sweet tray is a showstopper with its stunning collection of delectable sweet treats and berries. A dark chocolate éclair, a light choux bun filled with bright red strawberry jam which oozes as you take a bite. A salted caramel and almond tart with a crisp biscuit base is perfectly complemented by the irresistible and bright, fruity macaroons and tangy berries. “I have chosen carefully for the perfect balance in terms of sweet, tangy and chocolatey flavours.
Our afternoon tea will be served with your choice of smooth tea and your cup will be replenished by our attentive staff. For true decadence, chose our sparkling afternoon tea and enjoy a glass of fruity sparkling wine, perfect for sipping between bites of patisserie.
