Choosing your perfect colours
Here we’re concentrating with your eyes, to frame and complement your natural eye colour.
Generally, our make-up specialists recommend mineral make-up products like Mii. They offer beautifully iridescent colours that really play with light. Mineral make-up products are safer for the skin containing only natural ingredients and no parabens. But it’s the vibrant quality of the colours, which really make them stand out. Lips are luscious, cheeks and eyes just glow.
We’ve put a few ideas together that might help you try something new. But ideally we’d love to see you in person, because everyone is a unique combination of eye, skin and hair colour. Pop in to see us and we’ll give you a personal colour matching assessment, which may surprise you.
Hazel eyes
“If you have hazel eyes, I recommend using rich, autumnal colours like browns, golds, and greens,” says Nirvana Spa Skincare Consultant India. “Gold (and bronze) bring out the warmth in hazel eyes and if you have green or gold flecks in your eyes, a touch of gold shimmer in your eyeshadow will highlight the flecks beautifully. Try to avoid using eyeshadows in the blue range.”

Green eyes
“Green’s complementary colour is red, so any shadow with red undertones really makes green eyes pop. I’ve chosen the Forever Eye Crayon in Sorbet for Samantha; it’s a subtle pink with a shimmer, and you can build the colour from subtle to bold depending on your preferences. If you like to wear eyeliner, a dash of brown has the same defining effect as black, without the harshness. Try smudging it in with your finger for a subtle daytime look.”

Blue eyes
“To accentuate blue eyes I would usually apply eyeshadow with orange undertones, as the contrasting colours look beautiful together. However, as Robyn’s hair has a copper tone, I have chosen another colour which works brilliantly with blue eyes – silver. The shimmering grey cream formula is a beautiful day time look. If you want a more dramatic look, opt for shades of navy rather than black.”

Dark brown eyes
“”All shades of purple look amazing against brown eyes because it brings out the truest brown colour in your irises,” says India. “The soft contrast of purple can make the whites of your eyes appear brighter, making you look more awake. My top tip? Use a dampened brush to make your eyeshadow appear brighter against your skin.”
