New development coming soon…
Always innovative, always evolving, we are delighted to give you a sneak preview of some of the exciting developments coming to your spa.
Currently known as “the Colosseum”, our next major development will bring you many more wonderful opportunities to escape from the stresses and strains of a busy life. This impressive structure will be home to some extraordinary facilities and some ground-breaking concepts, where the emphasis is not only on relaxation but also on healing. Designed to cleanse, soothe and revitalise the skin, the body and the mind, the Colosseum aims to become a wellbeing centre of healing and recovery.
Among the many new facilities planned are two distinctly different pools with a thalassotherapy theme. Thalassotherapy, from the Greek thalasso meaning “sea” and therapia, meaning “treatment”, uses the healing properties of the sea and the marine environment.
Quiet waters, peaceful mind
Impressive architecture will frame a breathtaking space filled with natural light. When you step inside this tranquil sanctuary your escape from the world is absolute.
At the centre of this deeply peaceful refuge is a circular pool where you can dip into softly moving mineralised water, where gentle jets relax body and mind. Above, a magnificent rotunda mezzanine of heated loungers will offer a peaceful and deeply relaxing haven. Here you can experience profound calm and drift away, cocooned from the busy world.
Healing waters
The second pool will be a brand new and unique concept of our own design – its raison d’être, to improve quality of life. A walk-in salt water rehabilitation pool, which will offer many curative benefits, unavailable anywhere else in the UK. Here, you can walk in water, entirely suspended from gravity. This pool will enable safe exercise for those with arthritis, weakened muscles and sport related injuries.
Our own therapists will be on hand to help with physio rehabilitation, whether you need post-operative recuperation, relief from swollen joints or help recovering from a sport related injury.
This highly mineralised pool can offer relief from a number of different conditions, improve circulation and flexibility and relieve painful joints.
What’s more…
Historically, Nirvana Spa has always aimed to positively benefit the wider community and reduce its impact on the environment. Careful planning and innovative technology will ensure that the new development harnesses all possible energy saving and CO2 reducing solutions.
The expansion will also bring more employment to the area and will help provide progression opportunities within the existing team.
Look out for our future newsletters for more news and updates about the development.
