Spreading Joy and Giving Back
Our Heartfelt Christmas with Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service
As a team, our journey with the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service this Christmas season has been nothing short of heartwarming and inspiring. It all began in early November when we had the privilege of attending the poignant launch of the charity’s Christmas appeal. Meeting the incredible family behind this moving campaign left a lasting impact on us, setting the tone for our heartfelt involvement in their cause.
The launch event was a delightful evening with people from all walks of life coming together in support. This sense of togetherness truly ignited our passion for fundraising during this festive season. We knew we wanted to make a meaningful contribution, and our journey began with the Santa Dash.
Picture this: a great team from various departments donning Santa suits, running 5km around the scenic Windsor. The Santa Dash is not just a run; it’s a joyous and festive event set in a beautiful backdrop, creating an incredible atmosphere of camaraderie. Our team embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Next on our Christmas agenda was an event close to our hearts—the Christmas Music and Carols evening, held in our beautiful Colosseum Suite. We were honoured to host members of the renowned Reading Phoenix Choir and our talented pianist, Emily. The evening was a treat for the senses, with captivating vocals resonating in the exquisite setting. Mince pies, mulled wine, and the warmth of festive cheer made it a truly special Christmas event.

What added to the magic of the evening was your incredible enthusiasm! Your participation in the singing, especially the Twelve Days of Christmas, created a festive atmosphere that we’ll cherish. Through raffle proceeds and ticket sales, we were overjoyed to raise £7496.50 for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
Our Christmas journey with this incredible cause has been a blend of joy, community spirit, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact. This Christmas, we’ve experienced the true meaning of giving, and it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Here’s to the magic of the season and the warmth of spreading joy and goodwill to all!
