Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170c (fan assisted oven)
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl
  3. Melt butter
  4. Whisk eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl (until pale in colour)
  5. Whisk in vanilla, natural yoghurt, melted butter and mashed up bananas
  6. Combine cinnamon and flour then fold into mixture
  7. Pour mixture into a baking tin and bake for around 35min (check a skewer comes out clean)
  8. Cool for 10mins in the tin and turn cake out on to a wire rack or plate
  9. Combine the icing sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and add 3 tbsp. of cold water mix to a past and spread on top of cake

  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 150g soft brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 60g natural yoghurt
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 50 grams chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp. of cocoa powder
