The Link Visiting Scheme at Nirvana Spa

The last two years have made us all acutely aware of how much we need time with others and that too much time alone can leave us feeling isolated.

We pride ourselves in offering uplifting spaces in which to relax and enjoy a leisurely catch up with someone special. This week were honoured to invite a local charity, the Link Visiting Scheme to enjoy some time together at the Spa.

The Link are dedicated to reducing loneliness in Wokingham Borough and have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. The charity matches volunteers with those looking for company and a friendly chat.

The group particularly enjoyed the benefits of the Dead Sea Salt Therapy Pool as well as a slice of cake on the loungers.

The Link is dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation in the elderly, and todays’ visit did just that! Our Link Friends had such a wonderful few hours relaxing and enjoying the spa. They all said how fantastic it was to spend quality time with other people face to face. All the staff were so helpful, we felt very welcomed and well looked after. It was a real treat for them, and they will be talking about it for a long time!
